- Instructions:
- Pat the wings completely dry with paper towels. Moisture is the enemy of crispiness.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with the baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not let them touch. Cook for 12 minutes.
- Flip the wings, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C), and cook for another 10-12 minutes until deeply golden and crispy.
- Remove from air fryer and immediately toss in your preferred healthy sauce (if using). Serve hot.
Notes
Notes:
Use aluminum-free baking powder only - regular baking soda will leave a terrible metallic taste.
Do not overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if necessary to ensure proper air circulation.
For extra crispiness, let the wings sit in the refrigerator uncovered for 1-2 hours before cooking to dry out the skin further.
These wings are best eaten fresh. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3 days and revived in the air fryer at 375°F for 4-5 minutes to regain their crunch. Nutrition:
